Account Manager Company Background

Position Summary

Located in any of the following IIS office locations: White Plains, NY; New York CIty, NY; Nashville, TN; Durham, NC; Zephyr Cove, NV the IIS Account Manager is responsible for developing and driving a comprehensive customer focused strategy to communicate the value of and sell the IIS wealth management platform to our clients. In this role, the Account Managers must be able to convey the capabilities and unique value proposition of the IIS platform. To be successful, an Account Manager must be inquisitive and a good listener in order to understand the challenges and opportunities our clients face and then be creative to craft solutions to address those needs.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The IIS Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and growing existing IIS client relationships. This includes designing a coverage strategy to address key strategic relationships, and simultaneously covering smaller regional clients. Expertise and aptitude in the following areas are essential for the IIS Account Manager.
  • Financial Services Industry Knowledge – Maintain broad-based understanding of institutional and personal investment management practices; pursue ongoing educational efforts.
  • Specific Focus Areas – Understanding of investment managers (separately managed accounts, hedge funds, etc.); performance measurement and client reporting; benchmark assessment; risk/return analysis; asset-allocation studies, hybrids and blended of investment managers.
  • Relationship Management – Develop client relationships that position a strategic partnership with IIS.
  • Communication – Interface at all levels of a client relationship; establish processes for regular client interaction, including on-site visits when appropriate.
  • Needs Analysis – Identify and acquire key business information within existing client relationships.
  • Sales – Demonstrate exceptional consultative, presentation, and closing skills; implement strategies for lead-generation and winning business with a strong solutions-based perspective.
  • Software – Proficiency in desktop applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and IIS-specific products and services.
  • Travel – Willingness to travel up to 30%/month.
  • Miscellaneous – Other tasks as assigned by manager.

  • Education – BS/BA from an accredited college or university.
  • Sales Background – Proven track record of new business results, ability to achieve and exceed stated sales goals. Ability to effectively manage and grow specific client territory. This is achieved by implementing strategies for lead generation and winning business with a strong solution based perspective.
  • Experience – Minimum of three (3) years of experience in direct client management to corporations and businesses. Preferably, direct experience in the investment or financial services industry along with exposure to technology products including but not limited to Advent, SS&C Portia, SunGard, Statpro, Morningstar Direct, eVestment and others.
  • Communication - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, public speaking, and presentation skills.
  • Interpersonal - Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Technology – Strong Computer Skills.
  • Organizational Skills - Exceptional organizational skills, time management skills, territory management.

Position Summary

Located in our Nashville, TN office the Software Developer is responsible for day to day development efforts that are required to expand and maintain the applications that serve our internal and external user base.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and new development activities including working under the oversight of a Senior Web Developer on new development initiatives.
  • Other activities as required by the Development Management and Business Teams.

  • Experience – 2–3 years of web development experience with ASP.NET 3.5+, C#,, HTML, JavaScript and SQL 2005/2008 required. MVC 3.0+, HTML 5/CSS3, JavaScript frameworks (such as jQuery), AJAX, SOA, Web Services, WCF, N-Tier Applications, Razor View Engine, TFS, and experience with web security concepts a plus.
  • SQL - Understand MS SQL Server 2005/2008 and relational database concepts
  • Education – 2 year college degree or equivalent experience.
  • Financial Services Knowledge – Basic understanding of investment securities and/or an eagerness to learn about the Financial Service Industry.
  • Communication Skills – Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills – Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Organizational Skills – Good organizational and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail is required.
  • Responsibility and Initiative – A self-starter who is able to bring fresh ideas to the table and occasionally work independently in an efficient and responsible manner.
  • Teamwork – Experience working effectively with others in a team setting and able to take in other's ideas as well as constructive criticism from team members.
